Class of 89- reunions galore in '08 !

Carmelites 89 have been riding high on a nostalgic wave…we’ve had some small but significant reunions in the recent past…to share the good old times.

Well, the Bangalore trio( as alice has endearingly nick-named us!) met up in Bangalore. It was one great nostalgic trip…Anne Andrade, Deepthy Khadar and Sabina Zacharias were transformed into school girls back in the eighties… a flash back past two decades was too overwhelming...so much to catch up...and often we ended up talking together...... all the school pranks and the fun times…the mount carmel nuns, our good old teachers … even trying to recall the lines of the school hymns.

I meet Rekha whenever i'm in Kollam... fondly known by her surname “ kuttappan” she has been active in linking many of us with her prompt updates on friends, teachers and all the latest from Mount Carmel...she always spares time for friends despite her busy schedule...thanks rekha...keep the good work going!

Rekha and I met Icy Fernandez at Mount Carmel and were proud to know that she works there in the Dept. of English.

Meera Mani while traveling from Toronto stopped over at Dubai to meet Alice Andrade. They also spoke to Ceena Michael and exchanged a lot of MCC stories. Alice says that Meera has not changed at all, still the bubbly, talkative girl we knew in school. I spoke to Meera later when she was in Tangy and she said that she was delighted to meet Alice and was happy to know that the batch of 89 is in touch via orkut. Meanwhile Alice has been a great organizer. Infact the credit for the “Bangalore Trio reunion” goes solely to Alice. She has also changed the layout of the blog beautifully with her technical expertise.
